Section 4 - Member Duties

The violation of any member duties shall be brought in front of the Doomsday Council for judgment. Punishment can include but not limited to the strikes and/or financial penalties (See League Rules item 1).

1.    PAYING DUES - All members are responsible for paying the $200 dues by the yearly draft with few exceptions. Exceptions will be determined by the commissioner on a case-by-case basis (See League Rules item 2).

2.    CONDUCT - All members carry the responsibility to:

2.1.    Refrain from collusion and report any knowledge of collusion to the Doomsday Council (See League Rules item 4).
2.2.    Ensure the legality of rosters always meet the Doomsday requirements (See League Rules item 3). 
2.3.    Follow the league rules, traditions, and Champion Laws.

3.    STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING VOTE PARTICIPATION – All members shall participate in the off-season vote (See League Rules item 12).

4.    DOOMSDAY DRAFT ATTENDANCE - All members shall show up to the draft day party with few exceptions. The Doomsday Council shall grant exceptions on a case to case basis which includes the approval for the member to use a remote connection of some type in conjunction with a proxy if desired. In the case that a member does not show up to the draft and cannot perform the draft remotely the following Proxy Drafter Clause may be used. If the league member chooses not to use the Proxy Drafter Clause, then their position will be vacated and (1) their name will be added to the bottom of the wait list if they desire or (2) resign from the league.

4.1.    Proxy Drafter Clause – If a member of the Doomsday league is unable to fulfill their responsibility of attending the draft and unable to establish a remote connection to the draft, they may elect to invoke the Proxy Drafter Clause. They may elect a proxy drafter to take their place in the draft with the following conditions. 

4.1.1.    The proxy drafter must be approved by the Doomsday Council.
4.1.2.    The 1st round pick must be a kicker of the proxy drafter’s choice.
4.1.3.    The 2nd round pick must be a defense of the proxy drafter’s choice. 
4.1.4.    The absentee member will be assessed an additional $25 fee to be put towards the purchase of alcohol for the draft party. 
4.1.5.    The Proxy Drafter Clause can only be used once every five years by a Doomsday member.

5.    SETTING LINEUPS - All members are responsible for setting their lineups to meet Doomsday requirements each week of the season with no exceptions (See League Rules item 3). 

6.    PARTICIPATION - All members shall actively participate in watching parties throughout the year to the best of their ability. This includes hosting and/or attending watching parties.

7.    LEGISLATIVE PROCESS - All members shall follow the Doomsday Legislative Process to submit changes to the league rules or the submission of new ideas.
