ABOUT

The Doomsday League is a semi-professional fantasy football league consisting of 12 teams. It is the premier fantasy football league in the DFW metropolitan area. Doomsday has a 14 week regular season that coincides with weeks 1 through 14 of the NFL season and a 3-week playoff structure taking place in weeks 15 through 17.
The Doomsday League was founded by Cody Failinger in 2010 in the city of Coppell, TX. Initially the league contained 10 teams with a 4-week playoff structure consisting of 4 teams. In 2012 the league expanded by 2 teams and changed the playoff structure to a 3-week format consisting of 6 teams. Each season concludes with the championship game known as the Dooms Bowl where the EFFY (Excellence in Fantasy Football yearly) trophy is awarded to the winner. The team that accumulates the worst win-loss record of the entire 17 week season is bequeathed the Golden Hoe trophy.
The Doomsday League has been headquartered in Roanoke, TX since 2012 and still maintains Cody Failinger as the active commissioner. The rules and integrity of the league are regulated by the Doomsday Council which consists of the commissioner, current champion, and historical champion.
